ADULTS! FRUIT SALAD
This three week class will start out with students making a fruit (or any food, really) inspired vessel as well as a class sized set of charms. The “vessel” can be a fruit bowl, berry colander, food shaped tray, ect. The second week, students will glaze their clay items and create a simple food inspired line-design for a class print. The third week, everyone will swap their small charms and print their collaborative class designs onto a kitchen towel to take home!
INTRO TO WHEELTHROWING
Learn the basics of wheel throwing over the course of 6 weeks! Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of wheel throwing, functional design, and local ceramic history. Students will gain additional practice rendering form in sketches and bringing those drawings to life. Students will also learn to train their “vernacular glance” to recognize form and find or make decorative tools from the environmental elements that surround us every day.

CLAY MONDAY CLUB
Join the CLAY MONDAY CLUB which meets on Mondays from 6-9 PM with Bre & friends! This is an open hand-building class with very little structure and alot of freedom to play with clay. Suggested minimum attendance is 2 classes (1 to hand-build your pieces, 1 to glaze) with the option to add additional sessions. You are also welcome to just drop in and pay in person- but there is no guarantee the club won’t be full! If you can, sign up ahead of time to secure your spot!
CRYSTAL VISIONS SNOWGLOBE CRAFT NIGHT
Join Lizi for this one-time offering to craft your very own mini snow-globe and/OR “crystal ball” vision board for the future. Supplies provided include one small plastic snow globe, shrinky dinks & sculpted clay to craft custom items for inside, as well as classic holiday themed figurines, the filling liquid and glitter.
FAMILY ORNAMENT SESSIONS
Ornament session where adults stay and create with their little buddies! Items will be clear glazed, fired and ready for pick-up by Dec. 20.

Students will return the second week to glaze their items. The third week is an optional cookie swap and hot cocoa party. Make Space will provide the drinks (with allergy substitutions) and attendees are invited to bring one dozen cookies of their choice (please provide ingredient list for allergies) to create cookie swap boxes!
CLAY DATE (WHEELTHROWING!)
In this short but sweet two hour clay date, you and your loved one will be a part of an intimate group spinning lumps of clay into functional works of art! All supplies and instruction are included to try your hands at throwing on the wheel. Couples will each choose up to 2 of their favorite pieces of the night to keep. Items will be fired, glazed, and ready for pick-up in 2-3 weeks.

CERAMIC ALTARS
This two week class is inspired by the Mexican celebration of “Dia de Los Muertos” and the practice of making altars to honor loved ones lost. Students will make their altars in the first week, along with any small items to adorn the shelves of their altars. The second week is dedicated to glazing. Work will be fired and ready for pick-up by Nov. 1, in order to set-the altars up for those who wish to participate in this tradition on their own.
AGES 9-12: KIDS SPOOKY CLAY & PRINT!
This 3 week class will take inspiration from halloween themes in multiple mediums. Students will create the ceramic items of their choice in the first week, suggestions with guidance include cauldrons, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, bat bolos and black cat charms! They will glaze items the second week, and finish with mono-printing experiments in the final class.
SIP & SKETCH: FIGURE DRAWING AT SPINSTER ABBOTT’S
Live model drawing session led by Lisa Masters! This time we will be meeting at Spinster Abbott’s, 18+ due to nudity. Bring your favorite drawing materials, surfaces and if you have it, an easel or drawing pad. We will have some extras available to share. Extended to 3 hours this go-around with THREE models!
Price includes one drink ticket per attendee to be used on an N/A beverage, beer or wine. This ensures we meet our space rental fee, pay our models extra for the longer time frame AND raise money for our studio scholarships!

Come craft your perfect halloween costume! Join us for a crossover costume construction workshop- hosted at The Lab and led by Lizi. Craft night will take place immersed in the halloween site specific installation, with extra helping hands, and the necessary tools and materials to bring your ideas to life. There will be supplies and gadgets galore, but we still suggest you bring some base materials and your ideas!
STOP MOTION! Ages 8-10(ish)
< CAMP FULL! > Over three days at THE LAB (by Maritime Productions) with Guest Teacher Dan Florez, students will learn basic stop-motion techniques. Working as teams and individually, they will combine digital equipment & analog techniques to create stop motion short films. Students are all invited to show their films & attend as VIP guests to our cinematic premiere event July 26 where we will roll out the red carpet, fire up the popcorn machine, and hand out awards!
SUMMER CLAY CAMP: Ages 6-9(ish)
< CAMP FULL! > In this three day camp, students will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding with clay! By pinching, coil building, slab-rolling, and adding color using underglazes, young artists will create multiple ceramic projects, ranging from decorative pieces to functional dishware! This camp also incorporates drawing everyday, movement breaks, mindful moments and we play lots of fun games. No experience necessary! All items are ready for pick-up within 3 weeks.
SUMMER CLAY CAMP: Ages 11+

They will return the next week for 2 days of glazing their once-fired pieces. All items will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks at the studio.

THEE INFINITE COLLAGE
Strange Rainbow currently exists as a collection of experimental workshops and online resources that encourage playfulness, imagination, and existential joy. “Thee Infinite Collage” is a free-form & collaborative workshop that is part live-improvised multi-media performance and part crafting session.
Participants have the option to jam together to create musical compositions using intuitive electronic instruments as well as the opportunity to generate live visuals. Attendees also have the opportunity to create more traditional collage elements to be used in future workshops as props, or to collage using elements made from previous workshops! This workshop should be entered with few expectations as exploration is at the core- we will be allowing the creative process to do its thing, goofin’ around til something profound happens!
GUEST CLASS: POLAROID LIFTS WITH ZACH S.
In this special guest class, local photographer Zach Sawyer will share tips and tricks to creating successful Polaroid Emulsion lifts on watercolor paper. Students will be able to take still life style shots, portraits, or shots around the studio to try their hand at the transfer process.
Supplies and set-up included for attendees to try 5 shots each! You are welcome to bring your own film and cameras, specs will be relayed via class email.
MIWAK JR. x LUSTY’S CROSSOVER!
In this adults-only crossover class event, guests of the studio will customize their own perfect smoking set! Each attendee will custom glaze a pebble-style-pipe, slip cast by Miwak Junior, and bedazzle a pre-photo-appliquéd lighter from the Lusty ladies stash! Option at checkout to add on a "munchie-box" with sweet and savory delights from our neighbors, Songbird Pies & Bell's Baked Stuff. Both items will be finished for you (glazing & sealing) and ready for pick-up before 4/20!

CHEESE & CLAY CROSSOVER!
A first of its kind crossover at Make Space- CHEESE & CLAY! Sunday April 7th we will be hand-building ceramic snack boards (& more!) at the studio, with an “intermission” culinary lesson from our friends Bluebird Growers.
Attendees will learn the process behind making a labneh-style cheese. We will get to enjoy the freshly made “demo” products for a snack break, and finish up by adding color to our carved boards! Cheese boards will be slow dried and clear glazed, ready to pick up in 2-3 weeks. While some drinks & snacks will be provided, guests are encouraged to bring their favorites to class for inspiration!

Live model drawing session at the studio with guidance by Lisa Masters. Some supplies and drawing boards are available, but please bring your favorite tools and surfaces! 18+ to attend. 21+ may BYOB.
YOGA FOR PALESTINE
Join us in a group discussion to begin grappling with the harm and non-stop violence we are bearing witness to in Palestine. We will explore the first of the yoga sutras, the Yama’s, which include ahimsa and satya, and are the principles for how to interact with the world around us and enact positive social change. Alongside our conversation, you can expect somatic movements and grounded breathwork followed by a gentle/moving yin practice.
FAMILY CLAY DAY: AFTERNOON BIG KIDS
This one time workshop is an open studio invitation to explore the magic of shaping dirt with a special little artist in your life! The afternoon session (3-5) is for ages 8+. Participants will learn to make pinch pots and roll coils, as well as slabs. The suggested and guided project incorporating all 3 techniques is wind-chimes, but you are open to make whatever your heart desires together! If time allows, there is the option to add color to wet clay pieces using underglaze.
FAMILY CLAY DAY: MORNING LITTLES
This one time workshop is an open studio invitation to explore the magic of shaping dirt with a special little artist in your life! The morning session (11-12) is for ages 4-7. Participants will learn to make pinch pots and roll coils, as well as slabs. The suggested and guided project incorporating all 3 techniques is wind-chimes, but you are open to make whatever your heart desires together! If time allows, there is the option to add color to wet clay pieces using underglaze.
SETTING THE TABLE: CLAY & NATURAL DYE CROSSOVER
This two week class is a crossover of handbuilding with Bre & natural dye with Kristin. In the first week, each student will be given enough clay to create a minimum of 4 napkin rings, with plenty remaining to free form and have fun with. In the second week, alongside glazing your work from week one, students will learn the Japanese folding technique of Shibori with Kristin, and dip dye 4 dinner napkins in indigo. Kristin will have additional items for sale if you wish to dye more. Ceramic work will be available for pickup within 2 weeks of the final class.
POTTERY IS FOR LOVERS
We had so much fun celebrating Lovers day with ya'll last year, we are doing it again! Real Peel will be popping up in our workshop to fuel your creative journey for this one-time workshop. Price is per couple & includes 2 personal pies, refreshing bevvys, 2 sweet treats by Bells Baked stuff, AND 2 blank plates & 2 wine tumblers to customize with your own painted on glazed designs. Pieces will be ready for pick-up within 2 weeks to remind you forever of your special night together <3
