Build community through the creation of banners and flags! This course will teach students how to create & appliqué phrases on to textiles. Basic sewing and design will be taught to create a flag that features words of protest, or personal mantras.
Rachel de Cuba is an interdisciplinary artist who works between textiles, and digital media. Her studio practice focuses on migration in the United States and Caribbean. She currently teaches Graphic Design at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
